The UTelco Systems Group, with its Head Office in Melbourne, has been operating as an information management specialist company since February 1982. It has been engaged in a wide range of IT-related activities in providing its services to many large corporations in Australia, U.S.A., UK, Europe and Asia.

It has a team of highly skilled consultants and a sizeable software development team supported by an extensive network of affiliated consulting companies.

The Managing Director and Consulting Director of the UTelco Systems Group is Dr.John Brudenell PhD, and the Technical Director is Margaret Dine.

The UTelco Systems Group has an extensive array of methodologies ranging from strategic planning to business systems development and implementation that has been successfully applied in many large corporations. In particular, its cost and time estimation methods are based on Function Point Analysis and the Constructive Cost Model (COCOMO), and its quality management methods are based on the International Standards ISO9000.

The UTelco Systems Group first started as an information management consultancy company in February 1982.

The company has since expanded its scope of operation to become a Total Solutions Provider with the following mission:

"To continue to be recognised as the world leader in total information management, enterprise integration, and in the use of best practices and advanced technology in facilitating our clients to optimally harness and benefit from the use of IT."

The UTelco Systems Group method of providing quality management involves architectural co-ordination from strategy all the way through to implementation. All of UTelco's staff participate in a weekly workshop to review each others' work content and provides direction to each and every staff member for the coming week. This approach is one of the criteria that result in high quality deliverables. The UTelco Systems Group utilises state of the art methodologies and techniques. This, incorporated with its quality management approach, differentiates the UTelco Systems Group from most of its competitors. Furthermore, we are the only company worldwide that provides seminars and training courses on enterprise modelling and architectural design.

Dr.John Brudenell PhD   Consulting Director
   

John is a principal consultant with UTelco Systems specialising in IT strategic planning, information architecture, data modelling, systems development methodology and data warehousing. John is the founding president of the Data Administration Management Association (DAMA) in Melbourne and has over twenty-nine years of experience in Information Technology (IT). He has managed and worked on a number of large and complex IT projects in the commercial environment over the years. In 1984, John was placed in charge of one of the largest Data Administration functions in Australia at Coles Myer Ltd. From that time on, John has specialised in architectural design, architectural co-ordination (from concept to implementation) and most recently, data warehousing.

   
Margaret Dine   Technical Director
   

Margaret is a principal consultant with UTelco Systems specialising in project management, enterprise modelling, information architecture, data modelling, systems development methodology and data warehousing. Margaret has over sixteen years of experience in Information Technology (IT). She has managed and worked on a number of large and complex IT projects in the commercial environment over the years, most recently, specialising in project management, architectural design, architectural co-ordination (from concept to implementation) and data warehousing.
