Telstra Corporation
Since 1994, UTelco has continued to play a key role in setting the IT strategy, architectural design and co-ordination for a number of projects in Australia's largest telecommunications carrier and customer services provider. UTelco is also providing specialist consultancy services in data analysis, data modelling and architectural design and co-ordination to a number of project teams.
Since 2001, UTelco has been the incumbent provider of enterprise data warehousing services to Telstra Wholesale. The design and development of a fully integrated Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), known as the Wholesale Data Repository (WDR), enables Telstra Wholesale (TW) to manage all aspects of its business information with a single, consistent and complete view of its data. Department of Defence
UTelco has been the design authority in scoping and designing data warehousing projects for the Department Materiel Organisation (DMO), providing clear project definition for Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW) and a detailed roadmap including definition of candidate projects for further stages. The initial objective of the DMO programme was to perform a data warehousing technology and tools evaluation. In its ongoing role UTelco performs Enterprise Modelling, Information Modelling, Data Modelling and Business Functional Analysis to define the candidate projects and conceptual design of the EDW.
UTelco extended this role to the Department of Personnel Executive (DPE). This was used as the basis of transforming the DPE business to optimise its end-to-end business.

Queensland Rail
UTelco defined and scoped an Integrated Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) solution based on the Queensland Rail (QR) Enterprise Model, used as the basis in defining the Data Warehousing Strategy. The Proof of Concept project is the first milestone identified in the Data Warehousing Roadmap. Its primary objective is to prove that the proposed Data Warehousing technologies and tools work successfully end-to-end in the QR environment. The secondary objective of the Proof of Concept project is to demonstrate the business benefits of an integrated EDW. The Proof of Concept project involved eight (8) functional areas of the business and consisted of fifty (50) business entity types. This project enabled QR to answer complex questions regarding Consignment Orders, Consignments, Consignment Charges, Consignment Invoicing and Consignment Payments across four (4) disparate source systems. These questions could not be answered from the existing three (3) data warehousing systems that had been in operation since 1996.

UTelco Systems was commissioned to deliver a Revenue Assurance Proof of Concept (POC) system to satisfy a subset of the Telekom Malaysia revenue assurance requirements in a single data repository. UTelco was commissioned to conduct a corporate-wide IT Strategic Planning Study, for this American state government agency responsible for scientific research and regulatory matters in relation to water management.
This Study resulted in deriving an implementation plan for the District-wide Enterprise Information Architecture, entailing the actual migration of all the systems on their previous platforms based on pre-relational technology to an open systems platform based on object-relational technology. The migration also involved geographic information systems.
