Since 1994, UTelco has continued to play a key role in setting the IT strategy, architectural design and co-ordination for a number of projects in Australia's largest telecommunications carrier and customer services provider. UTelco is also providing specialist consultancy services in data analysis, data modelling and architectural design and co-ordination to a number of project teams.

Since 2001, UTelco has been the incumbent provider of enterprise data warehousing services to Telstra Wholesale. The design and development of a fully integrated Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), known as the Wholesale Data Repository (WDR), enables Telstra Wholesale (TW) to manage all aspects of its business information with a single, consistent and complete view of its data. This innovative implementation provides real-time access to the entire TW business' data that is fully integrated and of the highest level of data quality.

Telstra Networks User Data Convergence

UTelco was commissioned by Telstra CTO in conjunction with Wireless Solutions to deliver Phase I of the IMS Enterprise Network Data Architecture - a Business Model that defines the information and business requirements for converged networks including network communication content transmission both now and into the future. This project is referred to as the User Data Convergence(UDC) project and it delivered the business requirements, functional, data and business rules defnition for the new integrated "media-comms" world with a clear focus on the seamless user experience. This project required the integration of the OneSolution Telecommunications products together with the OneSolution Media and Content products and the enhancement of these products to define the 'new world'.

Mobile Number Portability (MNP) Programme

UTelco Systems provided Programme and Project Management expertise and Architectural consultancy to deliver the regulatory Mobile Number Portability (MNP) solution across the Telstra Corporation. This involved the implementation of complex business rules and processes across in excess of 35 systems, ranging from call handling, billing, service provisioning and activation, and network systems. Architectural Co-ordination was used to manage the overall architecture that was implemented at the system level to ensure that the complexity was implemented correctly.
